What you type is yours
A keyboard sound app should never be nosy. Clicka throws away which key it was, and it couldn't send anything anywhere if it wanted to.
It hears keys, it reads nothing
Clicka needs to know a key was pressed so it can choose a sound. That is all it uses it for. Nothing you type is saved, logged or sent, and the stats keep only totals.
No network access
Clicka has no network access at all: no accounts, no analytics, no syncing. It has no way to send anything out.
One permission, one reason
macOS asks for Input Monitoring so an app can notice key presses in other apps. Clicka only listens. Say no and there is simply nothing to play a sound for. macOS also hides password fields from every app, so those stay silent.
Everything Clicka can touch
- Key presses, only to choose which sound to play
- Its own preferences: sound pack, volume, voicing, shortcut and look
- Simple counts for its private stats: keystrokes for all time, today and this session, and how often each sound is used
Nothing else.
