Everything it does
Clicka is a menu bar app. These are all of its tricks.
A click for every key
Every key you press, in any app, plays a mechanical click. Most packs add a softer sound when the key comes back up.
Space, return, delete
The big keys have sounds of their own, so a burst of typing sounds like a real keyboard instead of one sample on repeat.
Ten sound packs
Silky Linear, Cream, Crisp Linear, Crisp Tactile and Monochrome, each with a Premium version. Press play on a card to hear it.
Dial in the voice
Crisp, Creamy or Deep. One choice makes every pack lower and softer, or leaves it bright as recorded.
Never the same twice
Each press shifts a little in pitch and volume, so fast typing does not sound like a recording looping. Both amounts are sliders.
Keys have a place
With spatial audio on, keys on the left of your keyboard sound a touch to the left, and keys on the right a touch to the right.
Toggle from anywhere
Press ⌃⌥K to turn Clicka on or off in any app, or record a shortcut of your own.
Hears keys, reads nothing
Clicka uses a key press only to pick a sound. It has no network access, and it never saves what you type.
Private stats
See keystrokes for all time, today and this session, and which sounds you reach for most. Only totals are kept, never what you typed.
Light, dark or system
Pick how Clicka looks. The menu bar panel follows the same choice.
Bring your own sounds
Drop a pack folder into Clicka's sounds folder, press Reload, and it joins the list next to the built-in ones.
Small switches
Launch at login, play repeated keys while one is held, and stay quiet when your Mac's volume is at zero.
